Under 19

Casino Rama Weekend with Under-19s

A weekend at the resort near Orillia can include teenagers and children, and the lines on where they can go are clear. This page lays those lines out, room by room, so the plan works for everyone in the car.

Welcome

Where the kids can go

Guests under 19 can use the hotel, the spa and the conference rooms. Four places to eat and drink are open to them as well. Families are welcome at MATCH Eatery & Public House, a pub and sports bar, and at the steakhouse, ATLAS steak + fish. In the hotel lobby, the restaurant to try is The Weirs. Firestarter Lounge sits just off the lobby, across from The Weirs, and under-19s can sit there too.

Hours for these four are not posted, so call 1-800-832-7529 before setting a dinner time. A number of the restaurants take reservations on that line.

Adults only

Where only adults go

The casino floor is for guests 19 and older, and so are the three spots set on it. Couchiching Court Buffet serves dinner on Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., adults only. Chow Lucky Noodle Bar is 19+ too. Centre Bar, the sports bar in the middle of the floor, follows the same rule.

Shows call for a closer look. The theatre at the Entertainment Centre holds 5,000 seats, and starting January 2026 its shows are for ages 19 and over unless marked otherwise. Teenagers are admitted only to shows billed as all ages. See casinorama.com for the show list.

The pool

Family swim hours

The heated indoor saltwater pool on the third floor is for hotel and spa guests only. It opens every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The first hour, 7 to 8 a.m., and the last hour, 9 to 10 p.m., are adult swims. Plan family swims for the hours in between. A small tip: pack swimsuits for everyone, since the pool is indoors.

Turning 19

Young adults in the group

Under Ontario law nobody under 19 may enter a casino, so a 19th birthday is the line.

Everyone on the floor needs valid government-issued photo ID, signed and in good condition: a driver's licence, passport or Age of Majority card. Those 21 or under must also show another piece of ID bearing their name, and a debit, credit or health card is enough. Young adults should check their wallets before they leave home.

Questions

Quick answers

Short answers, each one from the facts checked for this guide. Tap a question to open it.

Can our teenager come to a show with us?

Only when the show is billed as all ages. From January 2026, Entertainment Centre shows are 19+ unless marked otherwise, so check the show on casinorama.com first.

Can the kids eat at the buffet?

No. Couchiching Court Buffet is on the casino floor and only admits guests 19 and over. They can, however, eat at The Weirs, at ATLAS steak + fish or at MATCH Eatery & Public House.

When can children use the pool?

Between the adult swims. The pool runs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for hotel and spa guests, and the hours from 7 to 8 a.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. are for adults.

Can an older teen walk through the casino floor?

No, not even as a shortcut. Under Ontario law nobody under 19 may enter a casino, and the resort keeps under-19s off the floor.
